Michael Rosen Electronic Quartet
Original Modern Electric Jazz Groove Music, combining jazz, funk, and other elements. Features use of state-of-the art electronic effects, in a sound reminiscent of early the electric jazz and jazz/funk of Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter and Herbie Hancock. A new cd, entitled “Press Escape to Begin”, is scheduled to be released shortly, with special guest Randy Brecker on trumpet.

Original and Classic Brasilian and Latin Jazz by Michael Rosen and Alfredo Paixao, with colorful melodies and rhythms. A new, eponymous cd boasts the participation of a swath of fabulous musicians, including pianist Vana Gierig, and guitarists Nelson Faria and Mark Lambert.

Sparks fly as a new supergroup is formed at the 14-day International “Sergio Amato Jazz Festival” in Sicily, seeing Michael Rosen team up with a stellar band of Sicilian extraction: adopted New Yorker and Berklee Prof. Marcello Pellitteri, Italian-Canadian bass heavyweight Roberto Occhipinti and 21-year-old piano sensation Seby Burgio.
